The Magic kingdom of Disneyland has become Sikh aware after more than 40 of it's area management personnel participate in the California Sikh Councils "About Sikhs, getting to know the worlds fifth largest religion" seminar.

The Seminar began as many of our seminars do with the presenter, who in the case was the CSC's Executive Director, Nirinjan Singh Khalsa, asking the attendees if any of them knew what or who a Sikh was. In this case out of about forty attendees, three raised their hands. When asked to explain their knowledge of Sikhs one volunteered that they were a sect of the Muslim, Shiite religion and when corrected the other two admitted they thought the same thing.

After the hour and a half long seminar explaining the Sikh Faith and answering the attendees questions, the appreciation for their newfound awareness was tremendous.

Disney has gone on to request the CSC help them in creating a curriculum on Sikhs for it's Disney University where it trains it's staff and cast members.
