The mission of the California Sikh Council is to:

• Be a resource for Sikhs in California suffering from hate crimes or harassment
• Work with other national organizations with similar objectives
• Create awareness about the Sikhs community
• Leverage Sikh resources in the social arena
• Be pro-active with the media and law enforcement agencies
• Help ensure a safe and secure environment for Sikh children
• Ensure that the Sikhs are an integral part of the national fabric, while maintaining their identity
• To empower the Sikh community
